Joe Braidwood
Glacis
Founder & CEO
Joe Braidwood is Founder and CEO of Glacis Technologies, a Seattle company that runs controls on AI actions and signs a tamper-evident receipt for each, so a reviewer can check what happened without having to take the vendor's word for it. Glacis edits OVERT, an open standard for verifying AI safeguards at runtime, alongside the Coalition for Health AI and AIGov Ops. Glacis was recently selected for Utah's AI regulatory sandbox, is an AI House portfolio company, and is part of global insurtech accelerator Lloyd's Lab. Joe founded Glacis after shutting down Yara, his mental health AI companion, when he concluded its safety couldn't be verified. He was on SwiftKey's founding team and was Chief Strategy Officer at Vektor Medical, where he secured its reimbursement code. He studied law at Cambridge and policy at Brown.
