Ragan Hart is an Investment Manager at WRF Capital of Washington Research Foundation, where she shapes the investment thesis and portfolio construction for institutional venture investments in life sciences, healthcare, and deeptech. Ragan's career spans both sides of the life sciences value chain. She began in clinical genomics, working in both wet-lab and computational settings. She then moved into health economics, provider procurement, and enterprise market intelligence for health systems, before leading institutional venture investing. Additionally, Ragan has been a startup operator, building and running early-stage companies from the inside, which informs how she evaluates founders and execution risk as an investor. That mix lets her evaluate AI in life sciences as a scientist, a buyer, a founder, and an investor. Ragan lives in Seattle, where she enjoys pickleball and volunteers with organizations locally and in the Southeast that support financial and educational literacy.
