Vijaye Raji is a technology executive and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience across consumer and enterprise technology.. After earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Pondicherry University in 1999, he spent nearly 10 years at Microsoft, contributing to core developer tools such as Visual Studio and SQL Server.

 

He then joined Facebook/Meta, taking on senior leadership roles — including Vice President and Head of Entertainment and Gaming — and scaling the Seattle engineering office.

 

In 2021, Vijaye founded Statsig: a product experimentation platform that expanded to feature flagging, analytics, evals, and more. Under his leadership, Statsig became a trusted tool for hundreds of technology companies.

 

In September 2025, OpenAI acquired Statsig and Vijaye took on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Applications and Head of Engineering. In this role, he oversees the foundations of OpenAI's applications, leads major products, and is responsible for scaling the engineering organization.
