President and Founder
Vlad Oujegov is President and Founder of the Western Canada Data Centre Alliance (WCDCA), a member-based group and advisory for the digital infrastructure industry. By providing a central forum for dialogue and information exchange, the WCDCA seeks to bridge the gap between key members of the ecosystem to create a cohesive and mutually beneficial path forward for the growth of the industry and benefit to the region.
WCDCA also advises members and partners on strategy as well as assisting with filtering through the noise, and hosts an annual conference in Calgary, Data Centre West, taking place in September. WCDCA is also a founding partner in the Canadian Coalition for Digital Infrastructure, Canada’s first federal data centre industry group. In addition to his role with WCDCA, Vlad is national Data Center Power Systems Lead at Schneider Electric and has provided guidance and strategy recommendations to leading hyperscalers, developers, investors, colocation companies, power producers, communities, policymakers, manufacturers and others in the industry, especially relating to site selection, power strategy, community engagement and economic development, and policy and innovation.
