How to Host an Event at #SeattleAIWeek
Seattle AI Week isn't built by one organization — it's built by the community. Every event on the calendar, whether it's a demo night, a roundtable, a workshop, or a happy hour, is part of the same conversation. When you host, you're not just putting on an event. You're adding your perspective to the week, connecting your community to the broader ecosystem, and helping make #SeattleAIWeek something no single organizer could build alone.

In 2025, dozens of community hosts turned AI Week into something that spanned the entire region. In 2026, we're going bigger — and we need you on the calendar.

Event Guidelines
-
Events without costs (food, drinks, venue, supplies, etc.) should be free for attendees.
-
For events with costs, you’re welcome to charge but ticket pricing should be focused on covering your expenses rather than making a big profit.
-
The host organization is responsible for all aspects of the event, including venue, sponsors, food, speakers, and any other logistical needs (but please reach out if you need help finding speakers or venues).
-
Wherever possible events should be open to everyone, but we know that can’t always be the case depending on capacity constraints, budget, and the format of event. You have full control over your guest list and attendance count.
-
Events can be virtual, in-person, or hybrid - but we encourage in-person!
-
Please add the following question to your event registration:
Which of these best describes your professional role? Entrepreneur, Investor, Techie, Government, Academia, Non-Profit, Artist or Creative, or Other -
After the event, hosts will be asked to report registration and attendance numbers to WTIA to help us track impact and reach.
-
Only events that meet these guidelines will be approved and added to the calendar.
-
WTIA has adopted a Code of Conduct to ensure that our events are safe and welcoming. Please contact us if you'd like resources on building your own.
